Morgue Walker returns after a 4 year hiatus with the ‘ No One Left Alive’ EP. The band was reformed by the last original member in 2023, vocalist – Justin Vølus, and the previous EP, ‘Forgotten in Hellfrost’ was released in 2019.
Morgue Walker was originally formed by Justin Vølus in 2017 when his Vargheist Records-label took shape and they released 2 EPs in the past, namely ‘Forage the Ash’ and the aforementioned ‘Forgotten in Hellfrost’, which concludes ‘No One Left Alive’ is the 3rd EP release from Morgue Walker.
It’s a total sludge monstrosity, this 2024 ‘No One Left Alive’ EP- towering menacingly about a pale bleak sky and is heavily infused with brutal bestial Death Metal, frightening hysterical vocals and a pitch black atmosphere. We also see Jared ‘Cave Ritual’ Moran return on drums for this recording.
This EP rains hellfire upon the listener with an HM2 buzzsaw War Metal infused Sludge barrage. It contains only 3 tracks but trust me: it’s more than enough to inflict permanent damage on your nervous system. It’s astonishing that sludge can sound this toxic and dissonant. Justin Vølus spills his guts and his soul on every track.
