A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

M.Y.S.T. is a one-man project from Mexico, with Azarthael being the name behind all this. A man with many names and many bands, like Málvcxyöne and Vhéinzarm as aliases and Krypthall, Herxsebet and Fonsadera as the entities he connects himself with.

With this project he released this demo back in 2012, via Wolfsvuur Records. A Dutch Black Metal cassette and CD-R label, maybe you remember them…in 2021 Mexican label APOTT Records, a digital only-label who only releases titles of the Aeternae Plaguis Orda et Terram Tenebrae circle, re-released it as it was only limited to 50 copies back in the day.

The Black Metal on ‘The Night Is Ours (That’s What Nobody Knows…)’ is raw and primitive, both music and soundwise. I can imagine Mayhem’s ‘Pure Fucking Armageddon’ could be an inspiration for M.Y.S.T.’s attempt to capture a raw and rehearsal-like sound. With distorted vocals and simple riffs M.Y.S.T. will not bring anything new to the table, nor is it a title a lot will have on their wish list.

This one is pure for the Raw Black Metal purists, enthusiasts of rehearsal sounds or collectors of the Mexican Black Metal scene.
