A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Hailing from Chile, 2 years after their first single and a demo, the Black/Death demons unleash a 2 track EP with the title “The Mastery of the Unseen“ through Iron Bonehead Productions on 7“ vinyl. The title suggests a certain occult themed release, or better, invocation from the unknown source of existence. The music itself isn`t that cryptic as the band plays a tremolo picked, black aura surrounded metal of death with skank beats and slower sections where heaviness reigns above all, like old Paradise Lost, Autopsy and Mystifier. The tracks are very seductive, thanks to its repetitive nature in terms of riffs and the killer versatile drumming. The vocals remind me of Necrovation with a slight touch of old Samael. Interesting release which captures my attention and raises my hopes high for a killer album. Old school lunatics should check this out. (DPF)
