A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Horrendous comes from South Carolina in the USA but they sound very European to me. It is Death Metal with great riffs which are inspired by Iron Maiden. No, this is not a kind of Melodic Death Metal out of Gothenburg, but still brutal old school Death Metal in the sense of bands like Entombed, Benediction and Obituary, or a mix of them at least. They have two vocalists, both with grunts but the first one recalls at Jason Köhnen from the Death Metal act Bluuurgh from Holland (does any of you knows this cult band? It is time to put “In My Embrace” again on the turntable). The other singer has got some great growls but I have to admit they are not very original. On the record are 8 songs with a duration of 45 minutes. This outstanding Death Metal is certainly worth your money. (Sven)
