A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

From the grottos of hell they have risen. Or almost in that direction is the reverb drowned sound that crawls from the speakers when listening to Grave Upheaval`s newest effort. Can you hear the dead speaking from underneath their tombs? Cemetery rituals held by deep guttural voices, high shrieks, hypnotizing chants, ultra-down tuned guitars and thundering drums all recorded deep down in hell (did I mention the reverb?). No hooks, no second that remains in your brain, no fancy Wacken metal. This is meant to be underground and stay underground. DOOM/DEATH (yes written in capitals) for the grave lurkers. Occasionally the bloodthirst is calling and blastbeats bite their jaws into your ears. Maybe something for cold dark oppressive winters. Nice. (DPF)
