A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

What I like most about Fleshcrawl is the fact that they never disappoint a follower of their music. Some would label it as “boring” or “predictable”, I would like to label it as “Never change a winning team”. You know what you can expect when you have the new album in your hands: the melody of the Swedish scene introduced by Dismember in the mid 1990’s and the typical groove of the same Swedish scene, all played in the ungodly Swedish sound.

The track ‘Structures of Death’ is a good example of the melody and ‘Into the Fire’ a good one considering the groove. The 8th album of Fleshcrawl’s career is again a continuation of the same death metal they are playing for years, but without getting average. At the end I do miss an outstanding track like ‘Made of Flesh’ or ‘As Blood Rains from the Sky’, but as a whole ‘Structures of Death’ is a pleasant album, I can guarantee you that. By the way, the limited digipack will contain a cover version of The Four Horsemen’s ‘Rockin’ is my Business’.

I’m not going to tell you this is a must have in this genre, it’s no new ‘Like an Everflowing Stream’ or ‘Left Hand Path’, but then again…what is? But I’m going to tell you to buy this if you are into this style, you get what you expect!
