A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

I first picked up the music of Black Knife with the 2017 released split 7” EP with Abigail. That split collaboration already gave away a little what to expect from that, then, new band from Lexington, Kentucky, USA. Indeed, a mouthful of sleazy shit.

In all subsequent releases, among them two full-length albums and a good slew of split EP’s, they have further expanded their journey of filth and sleaze. During this live recorded show guitarist/vocalist Hellwulv screams that we are living in a world of piss, blood tastes best and that they are “a bunch of Satan worshipping dirt fuckers”. That is basically the best summary of this live tape and the band as a whole. Musically they bring you something that sounds a bit like the aforementioned Abigal, Shitfucker, Barbatos and Midnight. Not quite as good as those bands though, but they certainly offer an entertaining listen.
