A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Necromancy is considered as the “the band before” of Necromantia, one of the Greek Black Metal pioneers, due the presence of the mighty Morbid / Magus Wampyr Daoloth. All 3 Greek bands (Rotting Christ, Varathron and Necromantia) have released albums that are special to me. The Greek Black Metal style and sound is unique. Necromancy on this EP, is more Death/Thrash with a raw early Sepultura edge due the vocals. The 3 tracks are recorded, without MWD, in 1991 but never got released because Living Dead, the vocalist, died during military service. I’m glad Nuclear War Now released this one! The first track could be a haunting John Carpenter theme from an old movie like Halloween and Christine. It’s not a difficult song, but so damn creepy, evil and eerie! 10 minutes long! The other tracks are fine as well, but this is already a must have just for the first track only. (Ricardo)
