A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

I’ve heard Windfaerer efforts before and although it didn’t grabbed me for 100%, I did witness some good musicianship within a couple of songs. The Melodic Black Metal has a folky twist (thanks to the violin) and when we are on the subject…because of the subtle use of the violin (when it’s not folky), an extra element to emphasize the atmosphere. A New Jersy version of a Khors and Winterfylleth combination? Sort of, but it’s without doubt a strong album which is more a frozen lake with the winter sun shining bright than a frosty and dark night in the woods. (Ricardo)
