A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

The fine demo ‘Deathpawn’ received a positive review on VM-Underground, which was and is truly deserved. It resulted in a deal with Hammerheart Records and with ‘Come, Sweet Death’ the debut full-length has been unleashed upon mankind.

On ‘Come, Sweet Death’, you will hear members of Vampire and Nominon playing some fine Swedish Death Metal with an eye for melody. Imperishable evolved their sound compared with the demo which will appeal those who enjoy acts like Unanimated’s ‘Ancient God of Evil’, Eucharist (they vinyl-version has Eucharist’s ‘Once My Eye Moved Mountains’ as bonus track), Evocation’s ‘Tales from the Tomb’, old At the Gates and Desultory, and those with a soft spot for leads.

‘Come, Sweet Death’ is one very solid and recommendable debut album!
