A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Maybe a pure coincidence, but it seems I’m reviewing a lot of “the third” albums. This is the one of Seedna, an atmospheric and soundscape enthusiastic Black/Doom band from Sweden. And it has a “post” hint as well. The music is lengthy and demands patience of the listener, as some would consider it tedious. For example the track “Frozen”; after minutes of a repeating tone and whispering vocals, it explodes into a dissonant Black Metal track. If you are a pure Black Metal fanatic, this will not appeal to you, as you have to wait to long for “something” to happen. If you enjoy lengthy soundscapes combined with Black and Doom metal, with a dark somewhat depressive atmosphere, you can give this a listen. (Ricardo)
