So I’ve just had the pleasure to listen to a demo by a new band from Sweden, the home of HM2 Death Metal, and I’m talking about the young blokes of Absent Fear.
It’s a three track demo showcasing what they are all about and it’s pure homage to the old school greats! It’s raw. Savage, nasty, disgusting, and slaps you round the face like a wet kipper. Vocally it’s on the Black Metal side of things, like some of those old Göteborg demos in the mid 90s, but musically it’s pure Swedish classic Death Metal that will appeal to fans of Dismember.
They are not trying to reinvent anything as this is just pure out and out brutal Swedish Death Metal. Really excited to see what comes next from this firm!
