A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Not everyone will have a Black Metal album from a band from Chile in their collection, be it on the shelves or digital. With “Et Lux Perpetua Luceat Eis…” you will have a reason to change that. Formed in 2011, this album is their first opus to gain new black souls. The music has an occult like atmosphere, but instead of minimalistic, monotonous or dissonant tones, mainman Nebiros Sad has chosen for an slight melodic approach. The opening riff of “Caos Nocturno” is a good example to proof my point. Personally I have to say it’s a good decision as it makes the album interesting from front till the end. The use of the more low growl with at times a second slightly higher growl, enhance the occult atmosphere. Absolutely nothing wrong with this fine piece of dark Black Metal. I dare to say fans of late Christ Agony should give this one a listen. (Ricardo)
