A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

In 2023, Brazilian horde Grave Desecrator celebrated their 25th anniversary with the release of ‘Immundissime Spiritus’. Once started in the spirit of Sarcófago, Blasphemy, and Beherit, they shifted their sound towards Death Metal with thrashy riffs and a dark, old-school Black Metal atmosphere, rather than a full-blown imitation of Blasphemy.

‘Immundissime Spiritus’ is packed with fast, aggressive Blackened Death/Thrash riffs, howling leads, and the brutal intensity of old-school Death Metal, infused with Black Metal occultism. You will hear influences and inspiration of acts like Sarcófago, old Sepultura, old Sodom, Morbid Angel, and Howard brothers’ Incubus.

A fine and decent mixture of Death, Thrash and Black Metal…well executed profane and evil Extreme Metal.
