A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Puerto Rico. I bet Cronos hasn’t thought of the Caribbean island for one second during the whole epic ‘At War with Satan’, as one of the many countries Black Metal will take its path. But yet, here we are! Black Fullmoon is the project of multi-instrumentalist Thy Grandmaster of Black Fullmoon, and his fondness for Black Metal is displayed on these three-track debut demo. And to describe his fondness a bit more precisely, the movement Les Légions Noires has been worshiped on this demo.

The opening track is a short Dungeon Synth starter with ‘Beneath the Black Fullmoon’ as follow-up, which is an instrumental bleak Black Metal intermezzo with a howling solo. Closing track ‘Funeral Frostwinds’ is the only full song but delivers the good in the traditional LLN way. Lo-fi, mid-tempo, and repetitive riffs… we’ve heard it all before, but when it’s done right, it’s done right.

A three-track demo with only one full song could be considered a bit on the scanty side, but it can also be considered as a stepping-stone to a second release with hopefully the same quality.
