A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Released on July 8th, 2022, as part of a ‘Winter’ demo that I have not heard of ever since, “Weltenschlange” seems to have a different groove.

Less aggressive and more melodic, perhaps; anyway, it carries down the same path we have been walking since 2021. Again, it seems to have a more melodic approach to Black Metal, which is good, very good, especially when the artist has sensibility. Does it have – almost – some Alcest in there? Knowing I might be assaulted for this statement, I stand by it. Is it good? Honestly, not a fan of Neige’s work after his first LP, this is not bad at all. In the end, the music is good, and I am waiting for the ‘Winter’ demo for a while.

In conclusion, Ravensirkl is a very valid option in today’s crowded Black Metal scene.
