A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Goddamn, this is filthy, crude and raw in all the right ways! ‘Lycanthropic Bloodlust’ is the perfect example of the cacophonous sonic assault that only Black Metal is capable of creating.

If I could summarize Nirmolak’s first register in a single word, I’d say “unrelenting” would fit the description like a glove. Because this is a non-stop and bludgeoning piece of Raw Black Metal that definitely would appeal to fans of the more depraved and cavernous side of the genre.

The music here contained is dense and filled with anger, giving it contours of a threatening aura, a sense of danger and of suffocating isolation. Quite impressive for a first outing!

I wouldn’t dare say ‘Lycanthropic Bloodlust’ is an easy listen, actually, it’s anything but. So I’d recommend this EP only for the more adventurous listeners and those who ‘d like to challenge themselves in exploring the more deranged side of Black Metal.

Just check out the title song here and you’ll get a picture of what I’m talking about.
