A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

With their second full-length effort, Ringarë from the US bring their Ambient infused Atmospheric Black Metal to the table. With experienced musicians who have acts like Häxanu, Krieg, Musmahhu and Chaos Moon among others behind their names, the band wanders around in snow covered landscapes and icy lakes.

Four tracks of which 2 are instrumental ambient with mellow keys interludes, while the others are tracks with a duration of 10 and 12 minutes. The sounds is more stellar than hazy, so you don’t have to expect the the more harsh overall sound of Evilfeast or Bekëth Nexëhmü or the sharp guitar of Midnight Odyssey’s ‘Funeral from the Astral Sphere’ to mention a couple of examples.

But for those who are in the mood for snowy landscapes and  instrumental tracks but in a more mellow atmosphere, ‘Thrall of Winter’s Majesty’ is something to check out.
