Does Rebaelliun need anymore introduction? After ‘At War’ and ‘Burn the Promised Land’, these Brasilians have consolidated a healthy position in today’s Metal scene.
‘Annihilation’ is the only right title for this album and definitely the best thing they did so far. In the past, details tended to get lost in the chaos. But this piece of work is produced by Andy Classen (Krisiun a.o.) and every detail can be heard.
The music is more extreme than ever, yet occasional pace changes and frenzied guitar leads prevent it from being dull. Every now and then I hear some Morbid Angel flangers, but Rebaelliun never made it a secret that Morbid Angel is an influence to them. In my opinion, they are better than compatriots Krisiun at the moment, and definitely have a shot at conquering a leading position in the Death Metal world.
Rebaelliun rules!
