Info

Here we have some true veterans – Opposition Party from Singapore are active since 1986! Yet they have only one full length album (“Zombified” from 2005) and numerous split records and EP’s. “Tales to Horrify” is their latest EP released by the legendary Pulverised Records and what you will find here are four tracks of headbanging Punk/Thrash/Crossover with horror lyrics.

First things first: the cover artwork is done by none other but Ed Repka and it is bloody great – who can resist on a zombie in leather jacket coming out from a grave? In terms of music you get a mix of D.R.I., Cryptic Slaughter, Misfits, Wehrmacht – fast riffs, grinding drumming and the throaty vocals of Francis Frightful.

Opposition Party are something worth hearing if you are into this kind of crossover and when you take the fact that the band comes from an exotic place such as Singapore then you see why this release is something unusual and good to listen to. Enjoy! (Zvetan)
