A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

From the smoky depths of Bytom, Silesia, Polish Morbid Execution rises once more like a putrid relic of the first wave of Extreme Metal. A cenotaph and testimony to the glorious days of old.

Conceived in 2002 as a satanic 80-ies side project/outlet for Throneum members, this duo spews a toxic mix of lumbering, chopping riffs, thundering mid-tempo grooves, and raw, reverberating vocals of doom.

Their credo: simplicity, filth, and utter contempt for modern perfection. No trends. No compromises. Just pure, unadulterated Hellhammer and Celtic Frost worship, brewed in drafty cellars and spat out on tape.

‘Vulgar Devotion’ is a comprehensive compilation of previously released and unreleashed cult material by the band, compiled into a hefty opus magnum for fans and collectors alike.

The crust/crunch, morbid groove of their songs has been spread out over 2 CD’s. Handling compilation albums aren’t usual the fad at VM-Underground but people who dig this type of music and who are into Hellhammer, Warhammer and Apokalyptic Raids antics deserve to be notified on this baptism. It is a worthy initiative by Old Temple Records.
