Hailing from Botucatu, Draco Ignis Luciferi present ‘Dominus Obscuritatis Omnia Scit Et Omnia Videt’, a four-track invocation steeped firmly in the ritualistic lineage of orthodox South American Black Metal. Formed in 2022, and devoted to themes of occultism and Luciferian mysticism, the band wastes little time establishing its ideological and sonic intent.
Opening with ‘Via Draconis’, the demo unfolds through austere riffing and measured pacing, favouring atmosphere over excess. The guitars lean towards a cold yet ceremonial tone, while the percussion drives with deliberate force rather than uncontrolled frenzy. There is a sense of processional weight here, music intended not merely to be heard, but enacted. ‘Iniquidade Ardente’ and ‘Apoteose Luciferi’ deepen the ritualistic character, balancing repetition with subtle melodic phrasing that lingers beneath the surface grime.
