A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

From Finland, Die Schwarze Sonne brings their 5th full-length album of… let’s call it eccentric Black Metal.

It is a style of Black Metal that requires a certain taste, with no real link to the Second Wave or anything conventional. Instead, it leans toward orthodox and experimental Black Metal that shifts unpredictably, moving from whispers to distorted wails. It is all over the place, and when the man behind the project, Pestengel, refers to ‘Cold Misanthropic Black Metal’, he is clearly offering his own unique take on it.

For those who appreciate the experimental and the melancholic, this is worth checking out. Others can probably pass on this one.
