A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

The second record from Switzerland’s Ravendust, titled ‘The Gold of the Aura’, is released via Wolfmond Production. Behind Ravendust is the artist Raven, known for his involvement in Malphas and Chotzä, who sought an additional Black Metal outlet.

On ‘The Gold of the Aura’, you can hear melancholic Black Metal with occasional excursions into Rockin’ Black ’n Roll, with ‘Among Death’, and ‘The Dying Flamme’, being prime examples. You hear the many different sides of Ravendust on ‘The Gold of the Aura’, held together by a thread of melancholy; while some will appreciate this level of variety, others may feel it lacks a definitive sense of cohesion.
