A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Decay [ROM] – Brand New Nails [EP]

Out of Romania this band creates Black/Death metal with some sort of psychedelic touch in it. This EP offers three tracks, but generally I’m not convinced this album will gain much fans. Personally I’m absolutely not a fan from the vocals – sorry for the words, but they irritate me very fast. Also this music lacks some ‘pith – punch’, cause the down-tempo rhythms dominate on this EP. Sometimes an acceleration is audible (like in track “Concentrated Incarnation of Brutal Aggression”) but overall seen its too little. I listened several time to find something that moves me, but nope, this is something that will vanish very fast in my memory. (Fredde)
