Raw Black Metal from Chile: keep them coming! The fertile grounds over there keep on bringing forth fine acts within the realms of both Death and Black Metal, and if you’ve been following this zine for a while, you know we aren’t complaining one bit.
Under the belt of Kalkü we find 3 demos, 3 splits on those lovely tapes, a live album, and two full-length albums since they summoned black spirits in 2018. With their third album, ‘Oscuras puertas del infinito’, they continue their Raw Black Metal with dark melodies and a Punkish approach, accompanied by Dungeon Synth keys and interludes. When comparing this album with their previous efforts, I dare to say you hear the progress in songwriting, and the sound is more clear, yet still raw.
Definitely worth checking out, especially if you are fond of the Chilean scene.
