A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Well, to be honest, I’m a major fan of this band after hearing this release. Hexecutor is true to the metal spirit and delivers relentless and rugged speed and groove, showcasing an unquestionable understanding of the beauty raw Thrash beholds.

When listening, you’ll find a crisp guitar tone, simple albeit effective solos, and a somewhat classic-style production. The first track hits the ground running, tossing you right into the pit. Don’t misunderstand me however, the band isn’t just randomly bashing their guitars – there’s actually substance about it… Which can be rare these days when trying to undertake a more chaotic presence. The only thing I would perhaps nitpick about is that it doesn’t necessarily bring any that is quite ‘unique’ to the table. I’d say the closest band that provides the most similar experience as “Hangmen of Roazhon” would he Vomitor’s ”Pestilent Death” album. Although they are definitely different.

Nevertheless, I’d say give them a spin! I hope to see what the future beholds. (Caleb Gravestryker)
