A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

In my previous review of a Devilgroth’s release, I mentioned the phrase “It is the energy of eternal cold reincarnated in musical form”. A phrase Devilgroth, or better yet the sole blackened individual Aarsland, uses to describe Devilgroth’s dark sonic motives.

With ‘Svyatogor’ the dark journey continues with Raw hypnotic Black Metal and a cold atmosphere. The riffs, synths and songs are as melancholic as mystic, but not in an easy-listening way. At the end you will also be treated with 2 lengthy ambient tracks.

My advice for ‘Svyatogor’ is the same as for ‘Morena’, give it a listen first, as this kind of raw Siberian coldness is not for everyone.
