Well filled fanzines, smaller fanzines with fewer pages, newsletters… they all find their way to my house and are all appreciated, as long as the underground heart is in the right place. If that’s the case, quantity doesn’t matter, and I read a fanzine of just a few pages with as much joy as a massive zine or book that could knock someone cold.
Conscious Rot is a fanzine that completely oozes a love for Death Metal and holds DIY values very high. In this issue, they chose to submit questions to Abysmal Descent, Black Jesus and Innumerable Forms, and once again it is a great read. While in the previous issue all bands got two pages, Innumerable Forms received three pages this time, which reduced the reviews section by one page. Still, you get hit with reviews for bands like Gravered, Celephais, Temora and Funelore, showing that Conscious Rot keeps putting the spotlight on the underground.
Personally, I’m already looking forward to the next issue!
