A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

The debut of Coraxul, the lovely sounding “Vihavirsiä Aamunkoin”, is delivering the goods which you can expect from a label like Purity Through Fire and members of acts like Sacrificium Carmen and Curse Upon a Prayer; the goods being Finnish Black Metal.

And traditional Finnish Black Metal it is, with both a raw edge as well as fine icy melodic riffs. Coraxul isn’t exploring any new paths, but to be honest…the necessity isn’t there at all. If you’re enjoying the nowadays Finnish scene and their quality releases, you will do yourself a favour to check out this album as well, cause it beholds everything that makes Finnish Black Metal a great style within the realm of the dark art.
