My first acquaintance with this anti-war, political Crusty and Punkish Black/Death Metal act Winds of Genocide, although they already released a demo, an EP and two splits, one of them with Japanese Street Metallers Abigail. When hearing the first tunes, I hear a slight Death Metal version of Impaled Nazarene, without the charismatic vocals of Mika Luttinen, or Slutti666 / Mr. M. L. G-D-6 for friends and family. Not that strange, as they are almost the only one who are really achieving press notice in this particular genre. And ofcourse you will hear Napalm Death and Extreme Noise Terror throughout the album. Winds of Genocide is British, you know. Fun to hear, but I wouldn’t press the repeat button as it is nothing special. (Ricardo)
