After listening to ‘Du skal Frykte’, I feel as though I have been wandering for an eternity through vast and grim forests, heading nowhere….Valdaudr originates from Norway, having released two full-length albums so far through Soulseller Records.
As the name of this record clearly and uncompromisingly states… You shall Fear! Highly influenced by the mighty, old-school Satyricon, Valdaudr manage to offer True Black Metal straight from the land of Norway. Featuring melodic riffs in the vein of perhaps Dimmu Borgir’s ‘For All Tid’, or many other acts from the Norwegian mid-’90s scene, Valdaudr manages to keep the spirit alive and burning.
Nostalgic at times, this is ideal for people who enjoy their coffee black, just like their music. A really great piece of solid, true, and at times majestic Black Metal!
