A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Minenwerfer delivers a wall of chaotic war driven Black Metal, taking place in WW1 on the Somme battlefield which is one one of the bloodiest battles in history.

Their 4th album ‘Feuerwalze’, gives the listener 7 tracks over the 5 minute mark, which is not an atmospheric layered album. This is violent Black Metal, with shrieking vocals that have long lasting echoes over the melodies. Fast paced blasting riffs, leading you through this battle in the trenches. With ‘Feuerwalze’, Minenwerfer definitely released an album that is more aggressive than ‘Alpenpässe’ or ‘Nihilistischen’.

Highly recommend to anyone that enjoys a dark dissonant journey of war and death. ‘Feuerwalze’ is the most vicious release to date from Minenwerfer, which at times has that “wall of sound” hypnotizing feeling.
