A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Atavisma – Where Wolves Once Dwelled [Demo]

When Old School Death Metal is at stake, or the mixture of Death Metal and Doom Metal, France doesn’t pop in mind as one of the leading countries. Not in history and not at this moment. This doesn’t mean there aren’t any good acts releasing their ominous music. Atavisma is one of them. If you can imagine early Incantantion would have a jam-session playing old Nihilist tunes, you will get close to this 4-track demo. The production is sinister and unpolished, and it will be no surprise to you that it fits perfectly. This is released as digital release (Senseless Life Records) as well as cd (Dead Center Productions) and tape (Nihilistic Holocaust), and can be considered as a quality demo . (Ricardo)
