Hailing from the Netherlands, Treacher is one of many bands birthed during the COVID pandemic, and following several line up changes, 2026 has brought their debut effort, ‘Hibernation of Death’.
Treacher presents certain Björler riffs that swing between the style of The Haunted and At The Gates. Otherwise, you can hear rhythm riffs reminding of The Forsaken around 2003 to 2005, only taken down a notch in tempo at times, but accompanied by fine leads.
Not a bad 00’s rooted Melodic Death Metal debut, though to my mind, the production could have carried a bit more warmth.
