A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Formed around 2004 and from Memphis, Tennessee, Process Of Suffocation has been refining its brand of apocalyptic Blackened Death Metal ever since. Three demo’s, three EP’s, a single and a full-length have been produced so far. Process of Suffocation operate at the seam where Death Metal’s heft meets Black Metal’s venom: cavernous vocals, blistering tremolo and blast-driven violence, with an occult-gloom atmosphere running through it.

Pummeling fast-paced Death Metal with gurgled Goregrind vocals can be heard on their latest EP ‘La corte de los condenados’. Musically it reminds of Sadistic Intent, Machetazo, Christ Denied, Carcass, even some Von can be detected in the drive of the music. Nice detail are the song titles in Spanish, although the band members themselves aren’t Hispanic.

In all this is a nice example of ugly twisted old school Blackened Death Metal and hopefully this materials gets released in a more physical format soon.

Sitting On Our Thrones, Where Darkness And Silence Ruled Shone, Determined To Create Countless Music Altered, Seeking A Harmony That Goes Beyond The Ear, To The Depths And Heights Breaking The Silence And Spaces Of Human Souls Decomposing Water And Giving Bad Smell In The Air. This Was The Birth Of Process of Suffocation.

I couldn’t have said it better…
