A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Navazhdeniyeh are from Georgia, namely its dreary grey capital Tbilisi. Georgia used to belong to the former Soviet Union. Joseph Stalin and Lavrenti Pavlovitsj Beria were born there – for those who want to know – and the country has a turbulent history.

Their ‘Demo I’ from 2024 contained 2 tracks of totally insane and bleak raw black metal, this one – ‘Demo II’ – only has 1 song with a playing time of 7+ minutes.

It may not be much, but during those 7 minutes, the listener is grilled to a crisp.

The band consist of N.D. — guitars, vocals, lyrics, Desecrator — bass, noise, mixing and Mammoth Sodomizer — drums. What can we expect from Navazhdeniyeh? Like said earlier: rabid, ferocious and very noisy raw lo-fi Black Metal with churning guitars, fast paced drums, vocals that forgot to take his meds. Everything is just fucking loud about their music. The music plunges deep into themes like death, loneliness, and war, it’s all wrapped in a gritty, atmospheric and chaotic sound that’s typical of this type of raw black metal.

Mysically, it fits nicely in the corner of Black Cilice, Revenant Marquis, Megalith Grave, Vothana & Sanguine Relic.

I checked the first demo prior to writing the review – the style hasn’t changed significantly. Navazhdeniyeh are a new black hole in the universe. May more music follow in the near future because this one really drew my attention. Feel free to check out their music on the available channels. I bet we’ll be hear from them again.
