Info

Blood-infused madness is what Lucifer’s Child offer us in this their second offering to the lower gods. Despite knowing their craft as musicians and proving themselves no apprentices to the work of the dark arts Black Metal is, in terms of dynamics and lyrics, “The Order” sounds like a compilation of tracks that bear no apparent relationship to each other and were just put together in order to fill the requirements a full-length has.

That does not mean the album as a whole is not enjoyable at all, au contraire, each of the tracks become entities of their own and must be relished on repeated listens. Sonically it pays homage to the originators of the classic black sound (Bathory, Darkthrone) but as the tracks progress it gets more and more atmospheric and cold. Viva Morte! (azathoth)
