A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

People who think the young metalfans don’t like 1980s Thrash Metal anymore, will be surprised by the many underground bands who are still thrashing their socks off. Ashura from Italy is one of those bands and are aiming to please the listener with fast, enthusiastic and catchy Thrash in the vein of really early Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax and I even heard some Suicidal Tendencies ideas. Unfortunately only the first 3 tracks are dealing with the style I’m describing above which have good quality. If “Mindhood” would be an EP with those 3 tracks and a Megadeth cover (let say “Rattlehead”), I think Ashura would have a better start to get their name noticed in the pile of Retro-thrash releases.
