Antichrist Blood Scourge is a raw Black Metal/Death Metal band active in 2025, already known for its occult themes and lo-fi intensity. Their debut demo and full-length album were both released this year.
‘Black Flame Ov Satanic Blood’: their full-length debut, described as a true Black/Death Metal assault with satanic overtones. The band is listed as operating between Australia and the United States, suggesting a transcontinental collaboration.
The album was released digitally and features themes of satanic blood rites and infernal worship. The band’s aesthetic and dark sound are steeped in underground tradition: raw production, blasphemous lyrics, and a militant approach to genre purity.
Musically, there’s a good dosage of VON to be noticed, but also old Acheron, Nocturnal Graves, Teitanblood, Archgoat & Black Witchery can be mentioned as influences. A very nice pedigree indeed if you ask me.
The skullcrushing linear drums, reminiscent of a horde of stampeding buffaloes, the grim commanding voice that seems to impose/summon the blasphemous lyrics rather than performing them, combined with the sluggish and abysmal guitars and the very dark suffocating atmosphere contribute to the ghastly presence of the music.
The ritualistic themes, raw analog production, and a feral, uncompromising approach to Extreme Metal is something all these bands have in common.
So far, no physical release has been announced but that can’t be long given the quality and impact of ‘Black Flame Ov Satanic Blood’. For now, you can listen to it on Bandcamp or YouTube and keep your eyes peeled on a forthcoming release. It’s worth it.
