A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

People who say that this is Depresy’s second album, are slighty wrong. The first ‘album’ was in fact a mini-cd, with the entire third demo on it, so that would make ‘Sighting’ their first “official” album. A damned good album I might say!

Depresy’s music is really a pleasure to listen to. The combination of brutal Death Metal with gothic elements that they bring sounds really good and surprising at times. Majestic moments collide with brutal eruptions and magical incantations are being conquered by dark sorcery. The eight compositions (of which one is an instrumental) that are to be heard take you through very varied, complex songs with a dark and mysterious sphere and where brutallity, melody and depressiveness all come together as one.

Extensive use of all instruments, and there’s also a good role for the keyboard, which suits perfect with their music and gives it an extra dimension. Technical play and with quite a fresh approach to their music this is a véry good album, which you should not miss!

Get this now for $13 at Shindy Productions! The limited digipack-edition also contains a video for their song: “The Antichrist’s Philosophy”, and some photo’s and a bio.
