A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

An American band with a Swedish sound, you don’t hear that much! The melodic part of Dismember (‘Indecent & Obscene’ and ‘Hate campaign’) and a band like Autumn Leaves come to mind when listening to Serberus.

Both vocalists use a blackish growl and the production is quite well-done. The guitar sound is great, it really reminds of Dismember’s crunchy guitar sound. One could complain about the lack of originality or lack of innovativeness but the 3 own songs that Serberus present on this mini-CD simply rock as hell. All 3 songs are of the same quality, they all make your neck ache like hell when you’ve banged to the catchy rhythm of the songs.

They’ve also record a cover of ‘Curse the Gods’ (I don’t have to mention from which band, do I…) to make sure that we all know that they also like the old Thrash godzz.

This mini-CD also includes a nice multi-media section which you can check out with your computer. It includes a couple of live videos, an EP in mp-3 format and stuff like biography and discography, etc..

All in all an excellent release, I’m curious how these guys will develop.
