Do you remember a Swedish crust/grind band called Uncurbed ? Well,they are no more but Parasit is a group formed by three x-Uncurbed members: Johan Jansson on drums (he’s been also in Regurgitate and Interment),Kenneth Wiklund on guitar and Michael Gunnarsson,also on guitar. Together with Daniel Sandelin (bass) and Lort-Simon (vocals),they release their second full-length album “A Proud Tradition of Stupidity”. What you get is none less than 19 tracks of raw Swedish d-beat/crust in the best tradition of the genre. But this is not a surprise since Parasit is formed by seasoned musicians. If you are into bands like Driller Killer,Doom,Amebix or Anti-Cimex then do not waste your time and purchase this CD. There aren’t any grind outbursts or heavy breakdowns,this is pure d-beat/crust for all who are into the genre. The sound is good,the playing is tight and the fun is guaranteed! (Zvetan)
