A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Straight from Finland we received the EP titled “Never Meant to Save Us” which contains less than 30 minutes of Death metal.

First off, the vocals, deep but nasty, the way I like it. Some kind of blackish virus crawled upon the throat of Masi Hukari which makes his voice something unique. Some fresh yet catchy death metal with hints of melody (riff- and drum wise) are blended together as one – in some tracks its more present then others. But the biggest points go to the final tracks ‘”Born Unto Hawthorns” and “Coils” which are the heaviest among the five. Those tracks have a huge connection with the Old School Death Metal style and have the attitude of a wrecking ball that wants to demolish everything in its way!

Oh yes, almost forgot to mention: listen to the Black Metal part that invades in the last track at the end…paikalla!
