The 3 track debut EP from Night Crowned has one big disadvantage. It is only a 3 track EP. This appetizing offering from a band which combines past and present members of Dark Funeral, The Crown, Nightrage, and Cipher System is a little refreshing, stunning, and Black masterpiece.
Night Crowned finds a perfect balance between Norwegian Black Metal from the 90s like Dark Funeral or Emperor in their “Anthems to the welkin at dusk”-era and the Swedish Melodic Death Metal from Gothenburg. Even enthusiasts on either side of one sub-genre will find pleasure listening to the tracks. Night Crowned construct a unique sound and hopefully they can continue their journey on the bridge between the two sub-genres. (HaCeBo)
