A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

No release prior to ‘Hymns to the Moon’, so Moon Incarnate from Germany enters Headbangers Ball and presents their debut album out of nowhere.

Described as a new band with old souls, Moon Incarnate goes back to the glory days of the so-called Peaceville Three; Paradise Lost, Anathema and My Dying Bride. They took the Doom/Death of early 90s and mixed it with the old atmosphere and musical ideas of the old albums of Amorphis, Katatonia and Tiamat. And you hear those influences and Moon Incarnate made their own 90s version of it.

Although I’m not a huge fan of the occasional weeping kind of clean vocals, there are 2 kind of occasional clean vocals on ‘Hymns of the Moon’, it is a decent album nevertheless.
