A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

“Decade of Devolution” by US barbarians Caveman Cult is a compilation album released in March 2025 on the Kaliyuga Konspiracies label. The band as well as their brand of savage bestial Black/Death aren’t new to our pages. They have been spewing out material since 2014-2015 and this compilation offers a nice overview of their career.

It features a selection of brutal and raw tracks from their previous demos and a bonus track. In an overview, ‘Decade of Devolution’ beholds the three tracks from ‘Demo 2023,’ the four tracks of ‘Supremacía Primordial’ from 2018, the four tracks from ‘Barbaric Bloodlust’ from 2016, and the five tracks from ‘Rituals Of Savagery’ from 2014, with a bonus track from the ‘Rituals Of Savagery 12″‘ reissue.

It’s over 51 minutes of sheer violence. A nice addition to the collection and fans of the band or the genre in general know what to do. Available on CD and digital at the moment, though I’m sure it’ll be out on other formats in the near future as well.
