An unknown quintet, featuring 2 ladies on bass and vocals, from Germany released their first demo, simply called “Demo 2014”. And not a bad one too. The main influence is unmistakably the Old School Swedish Death Metal scene, some mid-tempo US Death/Doom along with a punk/crust attitude. Best song is the opener, which is a nice pounding SweDeath tune with a good main riff and ditto melody. It seems they have broken up due “too many differences in musical skills and ambitions”. Too bad, I would like to hear a second demo of Begraven. (Ricardo)
