A new review section: Buried by Time And Dust

We added a new review section, coincidentally another Mayhem reference following 'The Past is Alive', with the title 'Buried by Time and Dust'. Over the years, a lot of promos have been gathering dust simply because a fresh wave of promos arrived the following month and they were consigned to oblivion. We will review them here to make a clear distinction with our other reviews. We will also use it to complete a discography in terms of reviews. Feel free to contact us if you would like to submit your music or would like to join the staff.

Info

Probably the Hungarian equivalent of Burzum is here again, releasing an EP with songs that are written and recorded many moons ago. The tracks are the same as the ones on the split with Hunok which was released on cassette back in 2004, with the bonus track “Moontrance” which was on the CD-version of the split. These tracks are considered as the transformation between Marblebog’s early demo period and the first album “Csendhajnal – Silencedawn”.

The Black Metal has hypnotic tremolo riffing, cold and raw atmosphere, primitive drums and bass and tortured vocals, as said…the link with Burzum is easily made. The closing track “Moontrance” is, as you probably have guessed after reading the title, an ambient track.

When it comes to this kind of Black Metal, Marblebog knows how to deliver it. (Ricardo)
