Szum – Noise is Black [Single]

I’m very excited by a new project coming out of York (Via Poland) by the name of SZUM. Thus far the band have only treated us to one single release, (And excellent accompanying video) entitled ‘Noise is Black’. As you’ll be able to fathom from the track title, Szum offer up an intense bout of noise drenched Black Metal that is unforgiving in its onslaught of barbarity, ritualistic in its lyrical themes and oppressively hostile in its hazy, static laden tones. make no mistake though, this is one hundred per cent a fast paced dose of Black Metal, sporting harrowing and raw female vocal work, deeply atmospheric backing synth work and  an unstoppable barrage of crippling riffs and uncompromising drum tones.
